It's Only Fair
This week I experienced the lure of the local fair with its sugary snacks, stuffed animals, live entertainment, dizzying rides, dozens of vendors (selling everything from taffy and alpaca sweaters to spas and grandfather clocks), and ocean views from the top of the ferris wheel. Food choices ranged from chocolate covered bacon and fried Twinkies to Pink's hot dogs and funnel cake. I'm already
