The Nightmare Fades..

Thanks to a few determined Ryerson students we will soon put the memories to rest and be stronger than ever.

Fashion Crimes has endured quite a bit over the past 27 years, the G20 being another obstacle that we all faced together, and will overcome as a team.

A group of Ryerson students have banded together to help build a buzz for the small businesses affected by the protests last month during the G20 summit, downtown Toronto.
Project co-ordinator Laura Miller, said a major aim is creating awareness of these businesses.

Our general manager Kathryn Mcewan had this to say: We couldn’t open on Sunday, we weren’t open long enough to make any money on Saturday, really,” McEwan said. “And no one came down the next week because everyone was afraid of Queen Street.”

Volunteers handed out maps showcasing the affected businesses all throughout the downtown core. They said they handed out 1,000 maps, and plan to hand out 1,000 more.
