This is a terribly late but previously unpublished post, posted now in preparation for the SS2011 FWA that will take place in a week.
It's hardly a secret that DElight are probably my favourite Greek fashion designers of the moment. I really believe in them, as two young Greek fashion designers that I think have tons of potential but also as two sweet, friendly girls that I'm very font of. So I'm more than happy to give up my seat facing the runway and rush backstage to help when they ask.
These are some of the pics I managed to shoot in midst of the mayhem, moments before their runway show last spring.
Evi of DElight making some final adjustments.
The models wearing the big n' fluffy fake fur mittens.
...some girls loved them so much, they asked to keep them!
There's always time for a picture.
Thalia, another friend of the girls, in organizing mode.
Designers and friends looking into the monitor, biting their nails.
Being backstage is amazing, you feel the creative energy of fashion right through. Not to mention, you get to see and feel the clothes up close and personal, in all detail.
The only unfortunate thing is that you end up missing the actual show!
Of course, I couldn't resist the urge to wear DElight AW2009/10 at the DElight AW2010/11 show... There's a story behind that dress, yet to be told.
More DElight, posted on-time back in March by my fellow bloggers: More of the backstage fun over at Life Full of Fashion and Soho Symposium and front row action by Alecca Rox and Queen B.
DElight will be showing their SS2011 collection in exactly ten days from now, on October 16th and backstage or not, I'll be covering it for you! Add to Cart
